what tension should i string for poly?
I usually string synthetics at 60lbs. For my last string, I strung a hybrid of a soft copoly and a soft synthetic at 52/54 but it was way too lively and springy. All my balls were at least a few feet long. Im a big hitter from the baseline and i hit a flatter topspin for pace. Also should I change the tension depending on if the poly is soft or stiff. I usually string a poly/synthetic or poly/multi hybrid. I string the synthetic or multis 2lbs tighter than the poly.
if youre a big hitter you need more control from the baseline so that means a higher tension. Also poly strings are more powerful and in your words lively than synthetic guts so maybe string your poly at 62lbs?
